Yes! Another Cow Painting!

Guernsey   Oil on Panel   8 x 8 inches

Painting of the Day: Oil Sketch of Bessie

I came across a box of oil sketches that I had painted this summer while visiting family in Marin County. It's where I grew up and where my heart is. Humm ... sounds like a song by Tony Bennett.
It's obvious, and redundant, to say I like painting cows. I do. But they are also without a doubt the best models, as they stand still for long periods of time.

I love San Francisco and miss it terribly. When I have the opportunity to visit the bay area, I always head to the city to paint. Last time I was in Alamo Park, I was with my daughter and her girlfriends taking photos while they jumped up and down in front of the houses, just like the opening scene on "Full House". It was fun to see how many groups of people took the same photo op while we painted. Around 3pm, the fog came roaring in on the wind. So COLD! We packed up and headed for the Buckeye Roadhouse in Mill Valley for a hot toddy.

Bevo Painting II

Bevo    Oil on Canvas    30 x 40 inches

Painting of the Day: Michael's Bevo Painting

This is the painting of Bevo that my husband chose for his office. He really, really wanted it. But the business-man-bottom-line guy that I married wants to see if it sells. So, I listed it on Ebay. If it sells, I'm NOT painting another one. Okay, I may paint a different one, but not this one. It's a one of a kind.

I painted this portrait of "Bevo" for my husband to hang in his office. He loved this painting but preferred Bevo smaller. I'll post that painting tomorrow. Meanwhile, I've put this painting up for auction on Ebay. Enjoy.

This is a painting I did while visiting West Marin this summer. I keep painting this house because I love the colors and contrast. Enjoy!

Golden Gate

Painting of the Day: Golden Gate Bridge

This is a recent painting I did while visiting family in the Bay Area. My favorite painting partner, my Mother, and I sat here at the foot of the pier at Fort Baker with this fantastic view of the bridge. Afterwards we went to Farley's Bar at Cavallo Point for a glass of wine out on the deck.
